Things to do in Tarragona

A really interesting way to start off your visit to Tarragona is to visit the Roman sights in all their glory. These are all easy to reach by car.

If you have a vehicle for getting around, a good option is to spend a day at the PortAventura World theme park, a leisure complex in Vila-Seca where the whole family can have fun. Also of interest is a visit to the wineries of Celler Mas Vicenç, located in Cabra del Camp, where tourists flock in their thousands to discover one of the region's most welcoming, interesting places. For travellers looking to disconnect, be at one with nature and let go of all their stress, we highly recommend a drive to the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Located in Deltebre, you can't help but relax once you're there.

Parking and traffic in Tarragona

Tarragona doesn't have many parking spaces in the centre or in the areas near the Rambla Nova, which forms the city's main hub. That's why it's best to use the parking spaces available at shopping centres such as Parc Central Tarragona, which is just a stone's throw away from the city centre and allows you to reach Rambla Nova on foot, with the peace of mind of knowing you have left your car in a safe place. As for traffic, although this is getting heavier (with more and more vehicles now on Tarragona's roads), traffic jams are not common and you can move around the city without any issues.
