Hiring a car at Salamanca Train Station

In northwest Spain, close to the Tomes river, in the province of Castile and Leon, lies the ancient city of Salamanca. The city is home to one of the oldest and most important universities in Spain, which, with a student population of 30,000, together with tourism, makes a significant contribution to the local economy. Like Spanish cities and large towns generally, Salamanca is full of old churches, convents and religious buildings, including an old and a new cathedral. The Plaza Major, dating from 1792, is one of the finest public squares in the whole of Spain. There is an abundance of museums in the city and the Art Nouveau and Art Deco museums are particularly worth a visit for those interested in those artistic styles. Visiting Salamanca without touring the villages, towns and countryside nearby would be a travesty, and this is where a great deal on a hire car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car can enhance your experience of the time you spend in the area. Visit the walled city of Zamora with its 12th-century Romanesque churches, drive a little further on to El Campillo and the seventh-century Visigoth church of Iglesia de San Pedro de la Nave. The Enterprise site at 32 Avendia de los Comuneos 37300 is within a minute’s walk of the city’s railway station.
